Raffles Holland stands in the plot where, to me, has been the unnamed and useless building for ages in Holland Village. Of course, I know that it housed POSB Bank and some gymnasium halls. But to me as a consumer, it pretty useless! lolz
After 1 or 2 years, we finally have a new building! This is mainly a medical center, but being in Singapore, you can never escape from food. The building is pretty new, the eateries are not opened yet, but you do get a glimpse of what to expect.
Sushi Tei which used to be at the Windmill building is moving in and so is Provence whose last location was one of the shop houses where Starbucks is. Other than that, you can look forward to another Cantonese cuisine in the form of Soup Restaurant and the fluffy souffle from Hoshino Coffee.
However, what did opened first is a super food cafe called Haakon. Its a Nordic styled super food cafe serving all day breakie, breads, sandwiches, fruit drinks and smoothies. Besides Acai, we now have another choice of super food cafe!
An interesting location of the building is the new rooftop garden, which gives you a great view of Holland Village area. The only drawback is that you do have stand on the seats to get a better view!
